What this Adv Installer (Lv 2), Adv Installer (Lv 1), and Installer covers

The Alabama Onsite Wastewater Board licenses installers and pumpers under Ala. Code § 34-21A. Installer licences are tiered by system flow and complexity, and the tiers must be earned in order — a basic licence first, then Advanced Level I, then Advanced Level II, each with a time-in-grade and completed-systems requirement. Every licensee must be bonded for the work the licence covers: a minimum of $15,000 for a basic installer, pumper, portable toilet or manufacturer licence, and $30,000 for either advanced level. A lapsed bond suspends the licence immediately.

Advanced Level II is the full scope: everything at the basic and Advanced Level I licences, plus large-flow systems of 1,801 gallons per day and above, multiple pump systems with timed dosing, and other advanced technology systems.

Checking it yourself: The Board runs a public licence search. Because the flow thresholds are hard boundaries in Alabama, confirm the level covers your system's design flow before work starts.
